Pet Wellness – Starting at $17 monthly, this will cover flea control and shots. This is the insurance coverage if you want to keep the general wellness of your pets. This can apply to any vet, in different parts of the country.

Major Medical – Starting at $34 monthly, this is the most popular plan available, and will cover illnesses, accidents and hereditary conditions. There are certain hereditary conditions that require a one year waiting period. This plan can be used anywhere, and it can be renewed on an annual basis. Also, chronic conditions are covered by the plan, and your pet will not be removed from the coverage, no matter how many claims have been filed.

Whole Pet with Wellness – Starting at $64 monthly, this plan will pay back up to 90 percent of your veterinary bills and will cover illnesses and accidents, hereditary conditions (no waiting) and pet’s chronic conditions are included in the plan, without having to pay an extra. Also, there is no maximum benefit, no age limitations and can also cover treatments and wellness examinations.

Nationwide Pet Insurance also offers its wellness coverage plans. These are the plans that will cover preventive treatments and regular exams. Pet owners are given the chance to choose the right coverage for their cats and dogs.

Wellness Plus – Premiums will range from $17 up to $22, and will cover vaccinations, physical examinations, testing and flea and heart worm. All benefits of the plan are renewed on a yearly basis.
